Educated at Queen’s University and trained at the legendary Second City, Ron has been an actor, comedian, playwright, and award-winning advertising writer and Creative Director. Currently, he is Vice President, Creative Director at one of Canada’s most respected advertising agencies, Sharpe Blackmore Euro RSCG.
Recently named one of the Top 10 Creative Canadians by Marketing Magazine, he has written for a number of television series, penned a children’s book, and wrote, performed and produced the play, The Canadian Baby Bonus. He has appeared on Report on Business Television, Off the Record, Out of Bounds, Media Television, RadioActive, and CBC’s Venture.
He has created advertising campaigns for clients including Air France, Evian, Hershey, Kraft, Intel, Microsoft, RBC, Sprint, Volvo, Xerox, and many others. His work has been recognized by Graphis, The London International Advertising Awards, The New York Festivals of Advertising, The Crystals, The Extras, The Canadian Marketing Association, The Marketing Awards and others.

In a world of 140 character interaction, text abbreviations and an inbox that forces us to respond with the briefest of emails, consumers are craving for emotional connection in their lives and they're certainly gravitating to brands who make that emotional connection with them.
One of the best ways to make that connection? Don't share powerpoint slides, tell stories. People don't emotionally connect with a spreadsheet, they connect with a real story featuring real people in real situations and real outcomes.
Whether it's sharing stories internally to capture best practices or recognize achievement or whether it's telling stories externally to win pitches, grow the business or create a campaign, all organizations have wonderful stories to tell. They just need to know how to tell them and how to share them. This session accomplishes that.
