Topics

  • THE TOP TEN HIRING MISTAKES – AND HOW TO AVOID THEM
    • Studies have shown that, while most hiring decisions are based on the results of a face-to-face interview, the interview is only about 17% effective. Managers hire based on emotion and live with the consequences: low productivity and turnover. To make things worse, generational factors have lead to a severe disconnect between the value systems of the interviewer the value system of the candidate. This presentation will provide practical techniques that will help you pump up the traditional interview.
  • INTERVIEWING THE 'PROFESSIONAL” CANDIDATE
    • How do you differentiate between an enthusiastic self-starter and a highly coached, interview-savvy candidate? Since the early nineties a whole industry has emerged to create “experts” on the receiving end of a job interview. In this presentation, we provide tips and strategies to help you assess the true qualities under the surface of “professional” job seeker.
  • HIGH SPEED HIRING - MAKING SMARTER DECISIONS FASTER
    • With the flattening of organizations and the thinning of HR departments there just doesn’t seem to be the time available to make the thorough candidate evaluations you need to ensure that you get the right person in the right job. The good news is that, correctly employed, some of the techniques used to increase objectivity in the selection process can also eliminate time wasters. In this workshop you will learn to enhance your ability to assess candidate fit while reducing your time-to-hire and interviewing costs.
  • GETTING THE RIGHT PEOPLE ON THE BUS
    • There is not a single factor that will have more impact on the success of your company than the people you hire. If you have the right people on the bus, strategy and execution just happen. If you don’t have the right people on the bus the best strategy or products in the world can’t save you. At the same time, today’s job candidate is so well-trained that employing conventional interview methods does little to reduce the role-of-the-dice nature of selection decisions. This seminar offers participants practical techniques to “pump-up” traditional selection methods to thoroughly evaluate the well-coached candidate of the 21st century and to develop a retention strategy that begins at the hiring stage.
  • HIRING SALESPEOPLE - HOW TO TELL THE CLOSERS/POSERS
    • Hiring salespeople is a difficult task. Sometimes they all look and sound alike. If you are tired of getting the same, canned responses to your questions you are invited to intend a complimentary seminar exclusively for executives who hire salespeople. In this session you will learn: the key behavioural dimensions that determine the ability to prospect, build relationships, develop new business and service existing accounts ; how to get beyond the canned responses that experienced job candidates usually provide ; common mistakes that Sales Managers make when hiring
