Canadians know running back and head coach Michael “Pinball” Clemons as the Most Valuable Player with the Toronto Argonauts. A remarkable football player, he personified outstanding sportsmanship. Named ALS Ironman award-winner from 1995 to1998, Pinball was also selected Argonauts Player of the Year, winner of the John Candy Memorial Award in 1995 and was recognized by the CFLPA for his contribution to his team and community.
While he is one of pro football’s most popular and exciting players, Pinball Clemons is equally well known for what he does off the field. Involved in countless community fundraisers and charitable events, he exemplifies the character and integrity we look for in professional athletes — and in executives.
When he addresses the corporate world, his passion and enthusiasm bring the room alive. With enormous charisma and obvious dedication to his team and community, Pinball uses what he has learned on the field about leadership, teamwork and communication to inspire thousands of executives every year. This 5’6”, 170-pound football dynamo makes time after games for his young fans, always mindful of his responsibility as a role model. The title of Pinball’s autobiography pretty much sums up this athlete’s character — All Heart: My Story. In 2007 Clemons was named CEO of the Argonauts Football Club and today is Vice-Chair.
