Glain Roberts-McCabe is an expert in Leadership coaching and mentoring designed to create a powerful leadership development experience that allows next generation leaders to deal with leadership issues in “real-time” through connecting with others who’ve been there. She is certified in the MRG Leadership 360 Tool. A GenXer leader herself, she fast tracked through an eighteen year career and recognized in herself a burning need to support and accelerate next generation leaders in a more relevant way. Now as an independent consultant in this area she is a popular and motivating keynote speaker delivering high impact presentations to audiences ranging from 40 to 1000 attendees on topics like Leadership Coaching & Mentoring (Best Companies Conference); Engaging & Retaining High Potential Talent (Federated Press); Increase Your Leadership Impact (CGA Conference) plus a host of other leadership and high potential talent-related topics.
Glain’s consulting practice focuses on helping organizations engage and retain high potential leaders through coaching and mentoring approaches. She has a particular passion for working with “next generation” leaders in small to mid-sized organizations and entrepreneurs who are interested in creating workplaces that attract and engage their employees. Current clients include: mindshape design, LANDinc, Raising the Roof, Management Performance Centre and MICA Consulting Partners.
Before launching her consulting career, Glain held a variety of senior management positions in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) – Canada’s leading organization for executive-minded women. With many notable accomplishments during a short contract, Glain reconfigured and facilitated WXNWisdom – a peer mentoring program for WXN’s most senior members (CEO, EVP, SVP levels) leading to a 95% renewal rate amongst participants.
A results-oriented leader, Glain also held a variety of progressive executive positions with one of Canada’s leading strategic talent management firm, working directly with some of Canada’s leading organizations – Bell Canada, Sprint Canada, SunLife Financial, ITI, Grant Forest Products – by providing strategic consulting advice in the areas of leadership and organizational development. Bottom line measurement propelled her strategy.
Glain completed the Adult Education diploma program through OISE/University of Toronto and the Co-Active Coaching program through the Coaches Training Institute. She also holds a diploma in Creative Advertising and completed advanced Improv Training through Second City.
