Diane and her troupe inspire people to see that challenges and obstacles in life can be overcome through dedication and hard work. Overseeing this Toronto-based group for more than 25 years, Diane has seen her dream turn into an international sensation that has included two smash Broadway hits, worldwide tours and support from the late Liberace, Phil Collins, Bill Cosby, the late Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman and Tom Cruise. Movies and television specials have been made about the troupe. Diane is a recipient of the Order of Canada and has received numerous awards and honorary degrees. Her stories are captured in two of her books Dare to Dream and Throw Your Heart Over the Fence. Diane's latest book, The Little Girl Who Did … What?!!!, is a book for kids about a very different girl born in a narrow village full of narrow-minded people.
