Stand-up comedian Derek Edwards is proof positive that you can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy. His award-winning rural humour has made him one of the hottest properties in Canada. Identifying himself with the average working guy, Derek turns the ordinary into extraordinary. He creates enchanting tales based on everyday subjects and delivers them with polished style and impeccable timing. A professional comedian since 1994, Derek has amassed an impressive string of credits. He won top awards at the Vail National Comedy Invitational and at the Molson Canadian Comedy Festival and knocked 'em dead at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. Numerous TV credits round out his exposure, including A&E's Comedy on the Road and Open Mike With Mike Bullard. Performing live all around the world, Derek is developing a movie script based on a Vegas-inspired mélange of absurdity (“Magnum Opus”).
